Wolfgang Gartner, (real name: Joey Youngman), is a Californian electro / tech house producer and DJ currently based in Austin, Texas. He was previously known as Joey Youngman and produced deep house until late 2007.

In 2004 after a year of successful releases, he signed to the San Francisco-based Blue Collar Entertainment agency and began touring.

In 2007, he made the official switch from Joey Youngman to Wolfgang Gartner and began producing electro house, tech house, and techno. Within that year he landed three top-10 singles on Beatport, a Pete Tong “essential new tune of the week” on BBC’s Radio 1, and two video game licenses.

He owns and runs the label Kindergarten, and previous to 2007 ran the label Jackin Tracks.

Wolfgang will be playing for the first time ever on these shores in the early new year, so check some of his tunes and leave some comments so we can gauge interest levels.

Redbull-Clifden 7′s Beach Tag Rugby Festival

The first ever inaugural “Redbull – Clifden Beach Tag Rugby 7’s Festival” will take place on Clifden beach with 32 teams from all over Ireland competing for the exclusive winner-takes-all cash prize of €10,000.

Tag rugby but with the difference being its played on a beach we aim to attract patrons and competitors from all levels of the game from social/beginners to the competitive giving them a great weekend of highly entertaining rugby.

To incorporate the beach festival feel there will be on-site beach entertainment throughout the day to give off that beach festival feel with bbq’s/food tents and 2 full bar tents on location as well as water sports activities such as wind-surfing and for the adventurous there will be hi-speed adrenaline pumping banana boat rides for patrons to try their hand at and if that doesn’t float your boat you can alternatively chill out and relax at the Redbull Entertainments Area where there will be live bands and DJ’s churning out the beats and sounds all weekend.

Lying on the edge of the Atlantic, with the breathtaking views of the sea coast combined with the stunning backdrop of the Galway mountains it is the perfect venue for all attending. With a recession busting entrance fee of ten euro for the whole weekend and with spots prizes such as signed Ireland grand slam winning jersey’s throughout the day Clifden beach seems to be where it’s at next weekend for this beach tag extravaganza.

Running over 2 days, the festival will host 64 match’s in all starting with the group phase taking place on the saturday based upon 8 groups of 4 teams playing each other with the top 2 teams in each group going forward to battle it out on Super Sunday, which will consist of the last-16, Q-Finals, S-Finals, Bowl Final and Final.
